Winter Wonderland

Wonder if this cold weather will ever go away!? Ha We had a few more snow days this past week. The 2nd time it snowed, I was really impressed! I could not believe how much we actually ended up getting. I have not seen this much snow in a really long time and we had so much fun playing outside in it. Addison has been talking about making a snowman lately, and boy did she get her chance! She and daddy then took full advantage of the snow and pelted mommy a few times with snow balls! I felt like it was my payback for being so mean to Ashlee during the last snow storm we experienced! haha
No worries though, we had a girls against boy fight and of course we won! :)

We also celebrated "Love Day" as Blue's Clues called it. Addison and I made pink cupcakes and they were very YUMMY! Daddy had to work this weekend so we made sure to put a few in a container with valentine candy for him to take to work. I didn't think about the fact that he was taking pink cupcakes into his job... probably should have! HA He didn't seem to mind and I think he thought it was cute. I love that there is an isolated day that makes you stop and think about how much love you have for others. I used to think it was a "blah day" or whatever but I wish that I would have realized then that really you should celebrate not only your significant other on this day but also your amazing family and friends that you love. I guess that is just one more thing that Addison has helped me realize. Y

Breakfast at Addison's

Love love love playtime! I love playtime even more when we can go outside BUT since it seems like it will never warm up again, we are making great use of our garage! I've been really thankful for the garage before...but now it's pretty much my favorite part of the house. I don't have to get wet when it rains, the car is warm in the mornings for us, and Addison has made it a HUGE playroom. Ok, enough about the garage... sort of :) We were downstairs playing one morning and Addison opened her own restaurant! She cooked all kinds of food for us to eat for breakfast. After the first few meals, I started to recognize a lot of things that she was doing while cooking. I decided to video this and share with everyone!

(we're working on getting the last syllable in words... "microway".... and when she says HELP... well, you can imagine what that sounds like!)

All about family time!

Addison and I had a girl's day out today. We went to see my, well our, hairdresser Maria and both of us got our hair done. I was a little nervous going with just us 2 but we tried it anyway. She was an angel! She had a good time playing with Maria's girls and their toys. When I got under the dryer Addy came in, climbed in the chair and said "my turn to get my hair cut"! How funny. She sat in the chair and let Maria cut and blow dry her hair and didn't move at all. I was so proud of her. We went to McDonald's afterwards and had lunch before going home. I love going to eat with Addy now that she's older. I feel like she's my little buddy!

One night this week we had "homemade" Pizza!! This is going to be a fun thing for daddy and Addy to do together for sure.. they had a blast! AND it was really good.. Happy Mommy! :)

Breakfast time on a Sunday morning.. does it get any better than this?

a busy slacker!

When I started this blog, I thought I would at least blog once a week. Boy was I wrong!! After staring at a computer screen all day and talking all day I don't feel like blogging when I get home!!! :) BUT because I'm so nosey and I really want all of yall to know what's going on in my life, I'm going to try to do a better job of keeping up! This past weekend we had a lot going on! "Big Seff-y" (as addison named him) and Adam (Jamey and my friends from Mobile) came to visit for the weekend & Addy and I went to Kallie's birthday party at Pump it Up! I love when Seth comes to visit b/c it reminds me of being in Mobile. I know Jamey enjoys it too because it's not often that he gets to see his old buddies! Addison really latched on to Seth this time, I guess she remembered him. She went #2 in the potty and ran to him with such excitement to share the good news!! HAHA After the guys left and Jamey was back at work Monday night, Addison came to me with a sad face saying "I want my big seff-y"!! How sweet!? Kallie's party was a lot of fun too. It was great seeing Addison have so much fun and letting her play with Kallie and Lucy. I loved getting to see Mandy and Jess too! We are trying to plan a few girls nights out soon and I'm beyond excited! This weekend reminded me to appreciate and celebrate having great friends in our lives. We all 3 feel so blessed to have friends from everywhere, new and old!

Pump It Up ....so much fun!

Another fun video!

What an angel! This is "God our Father" I'm guessing that they sing this before they eat at daycare. It is SO cute. YES... we put mustard IN her ketchup. I accidently taught her that.. along with mayo in her peas! Oops.

Translation:

God our Father, God our Father,
We thank you, for our food
Bless it to our bodies, bless it to our bodies, ( i think...correct me if I'm wrong)
Amen ... Amen

Praise the Lord!

Ok-BYE BYE ... Kisses! :)

Starting out 2010

This is a totally random way to start this blog but I forgot about posting this video and wanted to share. This is after Addison found her note from santa to follow the blue rope. She was so focused on that rope that she didn't even notice the car!! haha. She finally did and was a little hesitant about it at first but she has warmed up to it since. I enjoyed our little scavenger hunt! I can't wait until it gets a little bit warmer so we can really ride!

Addison always has us laughing so hard!! From her spur of the moment "dance party" requests to her random little phrases this girl is FUNNY! Last night I gave her a banana and I leaned down, looked at her and said "Ok, what do you say?" Obviously expecting "Thank you!" Well, much to my surprise she held up her fist and said "gimme some bump dude!" ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? I could do nothing at this point but sit down laughing.

Here she is watching her tv and dancing

This was dinner one night this week. Jamey and Addison went and picked up Mexican from a new restaurant in our town. (so good by the way) We were so happy when Addison tried EVERYTHING we asked her to try and loved it! Jamey and I like to get Addison to try different types of food so she's not stuck on one thing forever. Jamey's lesson in eating tacos... just turn your head sideways! HA HA Hey, whatever works!

Funny Snow Bunny!
After school one day. They always make cute things at daycare. If I only had room to keep it all!

No work or school for us today because of SNOW!! Jamey had to work last night so he came in this morning and let me sleep in a little bit! This is what I found when I woke up and went in Addy's room. How sweet is this?! She didn't start out with that tank top on! haha

Here is the beginning of the snow at our house. It actually snowed pretty hard at times! It is still so strange to me to experience weather like this.
Here's the snow on daddy's new "big ole truck" as Addison calls it.
She LOVES it... I think he likes it pretty well too! :)

A little late but...

Thank you (grandpa and mema) Sorry for the names but she did that on her own! :) I tried adding "Bates" in there but ya know..she has a great mind of her own.

We really love our gifts all the way from Texas!!

She's already a great mommy!!
